This trail starts about 7 miles after the golf course on the right fork of Hobble Creek canyon, near Balsam. The first 3 miles are very well maintained and are good for both mountain biking and hiking until the trail forks with trail 128. The next 3 miles are a little less well maintained, and is harder to mountain bike. After that the trail is not maintained and there are several trees and other things fallen on the trail. It also becomes a little hard to follow.
As the trail goes up the canyon, it crosses Wadsworth Creek several times. There are some makeshift bridges for crossing some of the larger sections, but the water can be very high during spring water runoff, so be careful. If you plan on mountain biking, I'd take the left fork up trail 128 instead of continuing up the canyon. Overall, a good trail with some excellent views.
